Here’s what you do:

1) Write down your goal

It is very important to actually write your goal down. This makes your goal real. It is there, on paper, and you now must work towards it. Now, don’t just write it down and hide it under your bed—place your goal somewhere that you will see it so you will always stay focused on it.

2) Visualize your goal

It may not be enough to just write down your goal, you have to also visualize yourself accomplishing it. A great way to do this is to think of what you will do once you achieve your goal. For example, if your goal is wealth and freedom, picture what you will do with more wealth and free time. Spend more time with your family? Travel? Buy a new car? Etc. Make these images real in your mind, this will keep you focused.

3) Turn your goal into a visualization board

Now, take your visuals and turn them into actual images. Put pictures up on a board or on a piece of paper of you experiencing the fruits of your labor. Again, place this board somewhere that you will see often so you always know what you are working towards.

These are just a few things you can do to keep yourself on track. Do not underestimate the power of goals and visualizations, they are often the difference between success and failure. Stay focused, and think big—your success is just around the corner.
