Star Wars Taught Me How To Think And Make Money Online: Episode 1 - Master Your Phantom Menaces
There is a vast and never-ending war going on right now that gets no airtime on CNN and the BBC just couldn’t care less. No soldiers are killed and no civilians are physically injured and yet the collateral damage of this clash is immense. This damage is not visible right away, but over the years it’s consequences can be seen and experienced. The war is going on right now in your mind where the forces of good are constantly being attacked by the dark forces.
These phantom menaces are RELENTLESS and TIRELESS. They will hound you and all of your good intentions every single nano-second… if you let them. They’ll just keep coming, they’ll just keep on, they won’t stop… until you control them. We can’t eliminate them fully because they’re part of human nature, part of our make up. But you have to master them at all times if you want to be successful and make money online.
Star Wars shows us that physical battles are all around but that the greatest and most decisive of conflicts, the one that will determine your future success or failure, is the one going on in the mind. May the force be with you.
In no particular order, cuz’ they’re all dastardly!
Apathy - I don’t care. Well you should. This is your own life and and your own business but if you don’t take action to make it better then who else will? Take interest in your life-plan for your own good but also for the well-being of those who depend on you. If you have a family, you need look no further. Truth be told, you can’t afford apathy because apathy KILLS action, and action allows magical things to happen!
Lethargy - I’ll do it later. The past is history and the future is the undiscovered country. The ONLY real moment is the here… and now. Today, now, this moment. If a task needs to be done now, don’t delay it, do it now. No matter how tough or repulsive it may be, do it now, and get it out of the way and go on to the next task. You and I can’t allow things to pile up. If we do, we’re screwed! Do you agree?
Ignorance - I don’t know how. Ignorance is NOT bliss when you have an online business to run. Ignorance is missed opportunities, and lack of action at critical times. Ignorance is failure in an online business. If you’re ignorant about a topic or subject that’s relevant or possibly critical to your online success then enquire and learn. If you choose to remain ignorant, then you’re just a fool.
Fear - I can’t do this. In Bangladesh they say; When the problem rests on your shoulders, you’ll know how to cope. Everyone feels fear at some time or other but the only way to beat fear is to confront it. Literally do exactly what it is that you fear most and in doing so you unleash your own powers of resourcefulness, action, problem-solving, persuasion and negotiation. When you face your fears head on, you’ll suddenly see that it was, after all, not that big a deal.
These are not the only phantom menaces that will plague your online business and your personal well-being. Many other dark forces are born from the ones above but keep these four in check and you’ll go far in succeeding online.
