Synaura is a network marketing company based in Laconia, NH. The company was launched on May 1, 2009 and currently operates only in the United States. However, international expansion is anticipated to occur.
There are 4 co-founders of the company. They are Dr. Kenneth Kroll who is the company Chief Science Officer, Dan Maltais who is the CEO,Travis Martin who holds the position of Senior VP of Sales and Marketing and Dan Matauch who is the company Director of Branding.
The name of the company is derived from Latin prefix SYN, which means “the same, with, together” and the Latin word AURA which means “breath, energy, vibration.” A company slogan is “Built for Distributors by Distributors.”
The company believes in putting some of it’s profits towards the enrichment of people’s lives in the developing world. The Synaura Fund was created by the company to help people in the developing world by providing access to such essentials like educational facilities and fresh water.
Product
The company says that they are the first to market the maqui berry which Synaura states has the highest ORAC value of any berry or fruit on earth. ORAC stands for oxygen radical absorbance capacity. This is the antioxidant capacity of a particular food.
The maqui berry is grown in Chile and Argentina. The dark purple fruit grows on an evergreen shrub and is also known as the Chilean wineberry. Locals have used this berry for centuries to treat a variety of ailments such as pain and fatigue.
In 2006, a lab study was performed that showed the presence of polar polyglycosylated derivatives in maqui berries. This makes the fruit a candidate for extracts for food and pharmaceutical purposes. Other scientific studies have shown that maqui has some anti-viral and antimicrobial properties.
Avia Juice
Synaura promotes it’s juice as being a super formula which was developed by a Harvard medical doctor. They say it is a formula rather than a juice but regardless of what anyone wants to call it, Avia is a juice.
It contains the whole fruit of the maqui and the company has a patent pending approval for it’s Synplex Technology which would allow Avia to be the worlds first time released health supplement. This technology allows thousands of tiny capsules to be suspended in the juice. The company claims that every capsule contains an ingredient that has been shown in scientific studies to be a powerful anti-inflammatory and powerful anti-oxidant.
Avia juice is priced in the same range as other juices like Xango and MonaVie. It would cost $120 for 4 bottles containing 750ml.
SYN40
SYN40 is a supplement with ingredients that have been shown to reduce stress and fatigue and increase focus and energy.
Business
A Synaura business would appeal to those that believe that the maqui fruit is a powerful enough story to promote and build a successful business with. You would also be someone that likes to promote a healthy lifestyle.
Using maqui fruit in their juice makes Synaura first to market in this category. However, this selling feature has limited appeal due to the fact that there are a large number of other juice companies out there already. And even if being first to market utilizing the maqui fruit does hold some marketing appeal, this will diminish over time.
The fruit is grown only in a small area which could make it problematic for the company if some disease or disaster affected a large portion of the shrubs.
Synaura states that their compensation plan will put more money into more distributors pockets.
And it is highly probably that there will be some distributors within the company that will go on to earn a very good income. But within network marketing, the failure rate of distributors is always high regardless of the compensation plan.
No compensation plan makes up for the reality that the majority of people who are trying to build their business will have an extremely difficult time building a successful one. This is due to the distributors inability to supply the number of customers and business builders that they need to create a substantial income. The constant drop out cycle creates the need to continually find large numbers of customers or other business builders in one’s organization in order to succeed.
One of the main methods that network marketing companies teach is for one to make a list of all their family, friends, co-workers and anyone that they have regular contact with. This list would include your mechanic, doctor, dentist, or Walmart greeter. This is a sure method for failure.
If you decide that a Synaura business is right for you, then ensure that you learn effective online strategies and techniques to drive customers to you. This will give you a greater probability of success with this company. Failure to learn these methods dooms you to certain failure.
