Zrii was founded in 2007 by current CEO Bill Farley and the head office is located in Draper, Utah. Zrii is open for business in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Bill Farley’s business experience includes acquiring the famous brand Fruit of the Loom in a leveraged buyout in 1985. Farley was pushed out of Fruit of the Loom just 4 months before the company had to declare bankruptcy. Fruit of the Loom was then bought by Warren Buffet’s company Berkshire Hathaway.

Bill Farley filed a lawsuit in the state of Delaware on February 16, 2009. The CEO alleges in the suit that a number of executives and independent distributors of Zrii took actions that could strip Zrii of any value and destroy it. I don’t know how far this lawsuit has proceeded nor if it has been resolved, but it is a definite concern for those that might be considering joining Zrii as a distributor.

The Zrii website states that the word zrii is a Sanskrit word that means light, luster, spendor and prosperity.

The company has created the Zrii Foundation to give back to those less fortunate. Currently, the foundation is focused on helping the village of Sindure, Nepal by providing sustainable programs such as creating water systems, school construction and agricultural programs.

Products

NutriiVeda is a liquid nutritional natural weight management product that is presented as a 100% meal replacement drink. The product contains gymnema, guggul, turmeric, green tea, amalaki, haritaki, cinnamon and cayenne.

This product is all natural and does not include any synthetic or genetically modified ingredients. This is important to many consumers today. It is also suitable for those that require a low glycemic diet.

The company states that NutriiVeda helps to suppress one’s appetitie, supports fat metabolism, maintains normal blood sugar levels and increases energy.

Zrii Amalaki juice was the product that launched the company. The juice contains amalaki, ginger, turmeric, tulsi, schizandra, jujube and haritaki.

Amalaki is a small fruit that grows in places like the Himalayas and is also known as the Indian gooseberry. It is considered a rejuvenator in Ayurvedic medicine.

Jujube is a little fruit that grows on a small tree or shrub. It has been used for thousands of years in traditional medicines where the fruit has grown.

If you were to investigate each of the ingredients of this juice, one would find beneficial effects for all of them. Some of the effects have been well researched and others need substantially more study to be able to conclude whether or not they are of real benefit to humans.

Ginger is currently being studied to see if it helps reduce nausea in chemotherapy cancer patients. In China, ginger has been used for thousands of years to treat stomach upset, diarrhea and nausea. Preliminary data suggests that ginger may be useful in lowering cholesterol and prevent blood from clotting.

Tumeric has been used for over 4000 years to treat a number of ailments. It does show promise in a number of areas for human health but most studies to date have been lab studies only. However, one clinical study did show that using tumeric was useful in treating patients with indigestion.

Tulsi has been used in India for many thousands of years. This ingredient is believed by some to promote longevity and reduce stress. India currently exports tulsi tea to western countries promoting it as a stress relieving herb.

Schizandra is also known as lemonwood. It is a native vine that grows well in China and Japan. Schizandra has a history of long usage in oriental countries. There is not a lot of conclusive evidence on it’s benefit on human health but it has been widely studied. In one lab study, schisandrin C may be a useful chemotherapeutic agent.

Haritaki is a herbaceous plant used primarily in ayurveda which is a system of traditional medicine native to the Indian Subcontinent. In lab studies done on rabbits, it showed that haritaki reduced cholesterol-induced atherosclerosis in rabbits. In traditional medicine, haritaki has been used to treat a variety of ailments including but not limited to parasitic diseases, urinary problems and fevers.

Business

This business would appeal to those interested in weight loss and in the promotion of a juice that contains a number of ingredients that have been shown to be of some benefit to a human body or have the potential of being of benefit.

There are a large number of juice companies in the network marketing field, so this type of product is very competitive. Your market is currently limited to within North America. And for those that don’t know, North America also includes Mexico.

The juice is meant to be taken in small daily amounts but the cost of any network marketing juice is expensive and Zrii Amalaki juice is no exception. So you will have to overcome the hurdle of many people’s hesitancy to order a juice that costs at least $25 per bottle. However, if a customer finds that the juice in some way benefits their health, they are more likely to remain a customer and continue buying the product on a monthly basis.

However, one will need to continually find a large number of customers to constantly replace those that stop ordering the product. One will also want to find some business builders who are able to build the business up with you. So is success with Zrii possible? Certainly there are some that may be making good money with the company but the majority of people will not make any substantial income.

And anybody who wants to join Zrii as a distributor must seriously consider what impact if any that the lawsuit filed by the CEO of Zrii may have on the companies future.
